About the Baskets
McCoy made several "Basket" shaped pottery pieces widely used as planters. Many examples pre-date the "Basket Line" from 1959 which was a line dedicated to "basket" style pottery.
Baskets were made from the late 1940's through the late 1950's.
Most pieces are marked "McCoy USA".
Other "basket" pieces made prior to 1959 are located in the "Basket Line " section. There are also more fine examples of McCoy Pottery Baskets from the "Hanging Basket Line".
